Our Challenge for the Pavilion was to distil Oman’s wealth of information into a unified theme and a coherent narrative, encompassing the diverse facets of the Sultanate’s relationship with its surrounding seas. 

The final pavilion theme emerged after many months of research, analysis and discussion; A theme to encapsulate the Sultanate’s culture, history and biodiversity, to reflect both the sultanate and the concerns of the Host City; A theme to tell the story of Oman – ‘Nurturing Marine Wealth’.
